Ken Gunn has provided specialist feasibility and investment studies for more than 30 years. He spent the first part of his career working for major retailers and the last two decades at CACI, FSP and Pragma, where he led more than 600 consultancy projects. Notable commissions include Westfield London, Dundrum Dublin, Elektrownia Powiśle Warsaw and The Dubai Mall.

Ken is an authority on Designer Outlet Centres and has worked on more than 180 outlet projects in 35 countries. Examples include:

  • Feasibility Studies – West Midlands Designer Outlet, Fashion Arena Prague and Paddock Paris
  • Growth Strategies – Gunwharf Quays, McArthurGlen Troyes and Franciacorta Outlet Village
  • Pre-Acquisition Studies - Rosada Fashion Outlet, Designer Outlet Wolfsburg and Braintree Designer Outlet

Ken produces comprehensive and highly contextualised assessments of site potential which are evidence based, forward looking and incorporate the latest best practice and trends. He is skilled in helping clients adapt the outlet format to fit smaller markets, to become regional tourism or leisure destinations and to suit more urban locations. This includes the conversion of redundant shopping malls.

Ken has presented at more than 20 ICSC, MAGDUS and MAPIC conferences. His insight is respected by brands and investors and has appeared in The Wall Street Journal. 

In May 2019, he established Ken Gunn Consulting to focus on growing demand from the outlet community for his services.
